Without the darkness

Without the darkness how can we ever hope to understand the light. Light and shade it’s what makes beautiful photography isn’t it?
Understanding is definitely a key. Sometimes I imagine my life in a series of photographic snapshots, monochromes, captured by a photographer, an artist,
who is just keeping track - not interfering or saying anything, just capturing moments good and bad – every tear, every smile.
I look at these shots from the anonymous photographer, I study them and take them in. Some bring so much
joy, others warmth and love and those I still can’t bear to look at and put them aside. My desire is that if I look at these
images long enough, eventually I will have a hope of understanding something I did not understand before.
